Weekly Top 4 "T"s

Tuesday starts with T, you know what else starts with T…

1. Tennessee Titans

There are rumors going around that Vince Young may have quit on his team this past weekend against the Jaguars (you don't say).

Granted he is hurt. Adam Schefter of the NFL network is reporting that Young tore his MCL and will be out 2-4 weeks. He may have quit on the Titans even before that.

Here is how the Tennesseean put it:

“He pushed away defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, who was trying to console him, and took a seat on the bench. When it was time for the Titans to take the field following a three-and-out by the Jaguars, Young appeared as if he didn't want to go back in.

Collins began taking snaps before Fisher came over and appeared to gesture for Young to take the field. The coach later said a tight hamstring — not a reluctant quarterback — was the issue. Asked about it five times during his postgame news conference, Fisher never changed his story.”

First, he almost retired over the off-season because of all of the pressure and now Albert “Foot to Face” Haynesworth can’t even hug it out with the guy. You hear that, the Kerry Collins age is (re) beginning.

2. Texas Western

Don Haskins, the revolutionary head basketball coach who started five black players as the coach of Texas Western in the 1966 NCAA Championship Game, died earlier this week. His Miners beat the all-white Kentucky team in that final.

Haskins later told his story in the book, Glory Road and the book was made into another mediocre Disney sports movie, which had trouble truly explaining the magnitude of coach Haskins achievements. He was 78.

3. Touchdowns vs. Gold

Michael Phelps is king of the sports world. Braylon Edwards only wishes… and bets.

Edwards, before the start of the Beijing games, bet that he would more than double Phelps' gold-medal total with touchdown catches.

Those Michigan guys are silly aren't they?

Uhh, Braylon, 8 medals x 2= No (16 for the math impaired)

And since when did an NFL touchdown become half of an Olympic goal medal? Craziness.

4. Touchy- Feely

During ESPN2’s broadcast of the UTEP- Texas game, an errant camera caught some hooking of a different type of horn.

A record 53,415 fans filled the Sun Bowl on Saturday. And for those who couldn’t get a stadium seat, found a haven on a nearby mountain. Like these two.

Just watch for hands down pants goodness:

Yes, they are having a great time.
