Alex Smith: Enter Stage Right

Tom Brady, Vince Young, Shawne Merriman and Maeques Colston. That is a list of some of the best the NFL has to offer. Now add Alex Smith and what do you have…

Four All-Pros and a quarterback vagabond that are hurt for extensive periods this season.

Head coach Mike Nolan announced that Alex Smith has been placed on injured reserve and is done for the year.

Smith sustained a “non-contact” (what ever that is) injury to his surgically repaired throwing shoulder during last Friday’s practice.

At least he doesn’t have to sit on the bench and rot behind J.T. O’Sullivan. He can blame it on the injury.

Alex, you still suck. And are the worst fantasy backup of all time (I took that chance, don’t do it, don’t you take that chance).
